Photoshop Tutorial:
Make Your Monitor Transparent Using Photoshop!
How fun will it be to have a iSight camera incorporated behind your iMac? Photoshop makes everything possible. This tutorial will teach you guys how to see behind your iMac screen.

Step 1
First of all you need to take two photographs of your computer.
Move the monitor away and take a shot. Put the monitor back and position it as you want. A stand will be very useful for this.

Step 2
You need now to open both images and put the one were you moved the monitor away over the other image.

Step 3
Now make the image were you took off the monitor invisible by clicking the eye icon in her left and select the second image.
Here you need to make a path using the Pen Tool over the monitor screen.

Step 4
With that path made press Control + Enter (Command + Return on a MAC) to make a selection. Go to the image with the monitor moved and copy the piece you just selected by pressing Control + J (Command + J on a Mac).

Step 5
Use these settings in the blending mode for the screen layer:

Step 6

This should be the result:

Step 7
Next you can delete the image were you moved the monitor away. We don’t need to anymore. This is how the image should look.

Conclusion
You can also work more on it if you like but this was just a little example to show you how to achieve this effect.

First create the paths of the feather with the Pen Tool.

2. Apply Gradient color
Select the top 2 paths, fill it with Radial Gradient, pick similar colors as shown. Then repeat this step for the rest of the paths.

3. Apply Multiply
Select all the feather paths, go to Transparency pallate, select Multiply.

I have created a new document and just type PS Reflection as you can see in the screenshot below.

The first step is to duplicate our text layer. You can do that by simply pressing Ctrl+J or by going to Layer -> Duplicate Layer.

Now, select the Move Tool (V) and drag the duplicate layer below the original one like in the screenshot below

(You can also add a bit of perspective to the reflection layer by transforming it (Edit->Transform->Perspective) if you want.

The next step is to add a layer mask to the duplicate layer. To do this simply click on the add layer mask button in the layers palette.

Now pick the Gradient Tool and draw a gradient (black to white) in the direction that the arrow is showing in the screenshot below. (Hold Shift while you draw the gradient

You should now have something like this.

Finally just reduce the opacity of the duplicate layer and you are all done. I reduced the opacity to 35% and here is my final result.

Create a new file and toss some text on the page. I used Copperplate Gothic Bold which can most likely be found on your system are can download at Dafont

Step 02
Open up your blending options and go into your bevel section. Once open apply the following settings

Step 03
You should end up with something like this

Puzzle Filling

The first step is to create your canvas, so load up Photoshop and create a new file with a white background. Mine will be 640 pixels in width and 480 in height. Not to exciting yet, I know.

The next step is to use the type tool to write something of your choice. I used Myriad Pro in size 100. Right click on the silver f for your type layer in the layer palette, and apply these styling options. (The gradient overlay has #ff8400 on the far right, and #ff4f02 on the far left.)
