Why does it say I've uploaded/downloaded zero bytes? / Why are my transfer stats wrong?

This is a problem with some clients that don't report the stop event to the tracker
(xfer stats are updated by the tracker when a torrent is closed).

- If a torrent you're currently leeching/seeding isn't listed on your profile, just wait or force a manual update.

Why is a torrent I'm leeching/seeding listed several times in my profile?
If for some reason your client exits improperly and you restart it, it will have a new peer_id, so it will show as a new torrent. The old one will never receive a "event=completed" or "event=stopped" and will be listed until some timeout. Just ignore it, it will eventually go away.

Multiple IPs (Can I login from different computers?)
Yes, we dont identify accounts by IP anymore, we use a "Passkey" system.. whenever you download a torrent from our website we will know its your account by the passkey which is written in the .torrent file which you downloaded.

Some tips on how to maintain a good ratio.

If your a new user it is better not to download everything what i mean is ? you will soon find yourself in trouble if you start downloading many torrents in your early DCT life

Whenever you complete a torrent always try and give back what you downloaded, e.g if you downloaded a file which is 100mb then make sure you upload at least 100mb to somebody else. This is called a 1:1 ratio but you can continue to give more back .. it doesnt hurt and it helps torrent stay alive for other ppl who join in later

if you find yourself in deep trouble, e.g you have deleted everything you have downloaded then dont despair or change your nickname, you can always release anything new which you have. You can also download music and drama torrents which are ratio free.. i.e. download is not counted but upload is counted. if you still cant improve then the last option for you is to donate some cash to DCT and we will upgrade your account to 1:1 ratio
