Why is torrent downloading slow??

When I Download A Torrent , It Says 2000peers Downloading 499 Seeds
Thas Alot Of Seeds And Peers But Why Is It Slow, I Have Disabled Firewall,
Do I Need To Be On A Diff Port,
Help

well if u r downloading many stuufs then...close them....

btw...wat r u downloading...???

N if not ...may be u needa forward u r port....

forwarding port will do what? will it increase the speed
and yes there are almost 500 seeders!

click oin forwarding..then search for u r modem name....them click oin it..then it ll guide u..

port forwarding is not only solution the other reason could be other peers are not able to connect him
i am not using any port forwarding and have no problem downloading and uploading.

Look at the number of seeds and peers.
there 2000 peers with only 499 seeders.
the more the peers than seeders, it will go slower than expected. Try to download a torrent that has more seeders than peers. That way you will get top speeds.
