Are you using any firewalls or prog like PeerGuardian2?

Need some info of your first:

--> If you are using a router.. What company is it? And have you port-forwarded?
--> Do you use a third party firewall? If yes, name it..
--> Do you use any sort of program. (E.g the Peer Guardian 2etc) for blocking Ips and ports?

Currently, I have torrents opened from TT& iM, they are working fine. It's only with DC torrents. That too from last two weeks. Router - Netgear DG834 Firewall - I do not use any software firewall other than the one included in router itself. I do use peer guardian, but how come it starts misbehaving just from last two weeks? that too only for DC torrents?

That leaves Peer Guardian the culprit.. Just open it and configure it..

As far as Netgear DG834 is concerned, it has many models.. (e.g DG834g, DG83Gt)... Confirm if yours is the simple one..

Check that too.. And then i'd help you port-forward just in case..

As far as the 'mis-behaving' is concerned.. That is what software updates are for.. Just get Peer Guardian 2 and you'd be fine..

peer guardian is the surely the cause, as dct's IP 72.11.144.56 is under blocked list in peer guardian...

when you connect to dct tracker peer guardian blocks it and hence the error...
when you see the above ip address in the peer guardian right click on it and select allow permanently.

now try to download.

Mate, The Ip you provided is for the website access.. He can access the website.. His problem is that he cant download..

Moreover there can be many Ip's not one..

Thanks for the responses....i have exited Peer Guardian temporarily for now... it is working fine.

If I allow utorrent as an application to be allowed all the time....we are defeating the purpose of having peer guardian...

There must some other solution to allow DC torrents to work... looking for better solution..

Mate, Peer Guardians only function left in respect to Utorrent is blocking leechers.. You can use it to block leechers whom you don't want to upload the file to.. Let's say you released a torrent and it is heavily leeched, 1 leecher is consuming all your bandwidth and not uploading back at all.. Then only would Peer Guardian be useful..

Azureus has this feature built into it.. known as 'kick and ban'..

With Utorrents updates after 1.7.3.. You don't need Peer Guardian with it.. It is very secure now.. Make sure you have the latest Utorrent version and enjoy..

Why is that out of billions of p2p,torrent client users piracy foes like RIAA, MPAA.etc. want to access you and only your computer.. If torrent come to an end, they would for all of us.. These companies simply cant go around picking on individual users.. Would they go after every person who downloads torrents? Would'nt it be easier for them to persue the companies, websites that let the illegal activity happen..

Moreover Utorrents releases after 1.7.3 (i.e 1.7.4,1.7.5,1.7.6,1.7.7) are very much secure.. The chances of your computer being scanned or accessed by anyone are minimum.. As simple as that..

If you still want it that bad.. Open Peer Guardian 2 and download a torrent from Dct(after you have opened PG2).. Block all connections to your Utorrent port.. Keep your client open and one by one start unblocking the connections to your Utorrent port.. This way find out which ones you need to keep open to let the Dct tracker work.. However this would only last you at max 2,3 weeks..
