downloading is going very slow [Answered]
can any i help me out , i am using utorrent 1.8.1
when i download from here its taking more time than before , like when u go to utorrent theres a tab called tracker... my dht is not allowed..local peer discovery peer exchange not allowed , can any 1 help me out , thank u Last edited by Acc3ss; 10-05-2008 at 06:40 PM.. |

use utorrent 1.8.1 Release Candidate 1 (build 12549)
released on 2nd october 2008. It is working fine for me...  If u r using vista it wont crash also... |

There are a number of reason coz of which u might not get max speeds ... Guyz ... just check whether u are following these or not to get max speeds. 1) Have u forwarded ur ports properly ?? If not, check Code:
portforward.com If you’re on XP sp2, your TCP connections are limited to a maximum of 10. This seriously hurts your downloading speed because it wont let you connect to a high amount of ip numbers. It is supposed to slow down viruses because their spreading strategy is to connect to a high amount of ip numbers, but it also cripples your torrent downloads. A nice way to fix this is to download the attached PATCH. It allows you to set the maximum allowed connections to any number you want. Any number between 50 and 100 is ok  3) Check for the number of seeders and leechers .... Usually the torrents with larger swarm provides u better speed.  4) Disable windows firewall .... All microsoft products and applications suck except for their vacum cleaner.  Use Zone alarm, kerio etc instead. Also if ur seeders leechers in the swarm have low speed ... u will also get slow speeds .... Also capping the up/down speeds might give u psychologically higher speeds.  Dct has no such issues .... so even after following the above ... u r not satisfied .... get a better net connection .  @ rahul, get UTorrent 1.7.7. or 1.8.0.
