Default Connection Closed by Peer [Answered]

I am trying to utorrent on my new machine at my house... I use bittornado at work. When i try using utorrent here I get the message "Connection closed by peer" as the status for the tracker when I try to download any file.. I am unable to connect to anybody. Any help on this is appreciated.

If I am using random ports it should affect me being unconnectable to other peers. But I should be able to connect to the tracker. Here i am getting this error when I try connecting to the tracker.

Try manually Connecting to the Tracker....

Right click the torrent file in ur Client ....and Click on manually update....

or if this doesnt Work ...Try Disabling ur Firewall.....

or if this dint work out ....

Reinstall ur client , Give it a proper port B4 downloading Anythin, Set that Port in your client also, (CAUTION).....The Ports Should Be same.....

if this also dint work....thn Report Back to school(here
)

I tried the following...

1> Manually announced... basically manually update the tracker... I still get the same error.
2> I disabled windows XP firewal... no effect even then
3> I tried another client... Azureus... still the same problem... I dont like using azureus as my computer starts to crawl..
4> Redownloaded utorrent... no effect at all...

No virus... I am sure of that... I scan my computer every weekend.... I am not able to understand whats happening.

What I dont understand is that the tracker is using only http connections right. I mean the response of the tracker would be in the same open connection that the client opened. If that is the case I dont suppose I need to forward port 6969 also to my computer back. That port isnt forwarded. I really dont understand whats happening here.

I think utorrent has had some very complicated issues with these [ports] kind of problems ! Should check to see if your router if you use one has port forwarding on it ! Also note that some modems also have port configuration on them !

Good luck with your problem !
