What is Lossless ?
Lossless means compression without losing any information.
The format is FLAC => Free Lossless Audio Codec
This is the same thing as compressing a data file to ZIP or RAR.
When u unzip or unrar it, you get the exact same exact original data bit to bit identical.

You can either play this in most software players directly,
or
Use Foobar2000, Winamp, dBPowerAmp etc... and convert it back to
CDDA and burn it to CD as Audio CD.

You will get the EXACT 100% Original CD.

Well for Ipod, I know you would have to convert it in order for it to be played.
MP3 or AAC should be fine, ALAC would also work.
