Is it network lock or security lock?

and if it is network lock then to which network it is locked to?

Thanks for the reply.I think it is locked by the network.The provder wants me to finish the contract for 24 months and only then they can unlock it.Till then i can't use any other service provider in this mobile.
Please let me know what i should do.

That is complete utter balloney.....the network can not stop u from getting the unlock code....in fact they are obliged to provide this to you for a fee usually £15.00 if in U.K.....If they refuse then u should complain to the government body OFCOM as they are not giving freedom of choice.....

guys can a bb5 phone e.g. nokia 6680 be unlocked.can anyway point me in the right direction please to a 100% working and tested one.thanks
