hi all,

I hav motorola A780 PDA...my problem is that whenever i try to change any settings of the phone like walpaper, tone, ringer mode(vibrate, silent etc..), alarm etc.. it gives me an error ; " MEMORY FULL "...My phone's intrnal memory is 52 MB and i have 128 MB MMC card. 12 MB of my phone's memory is in use rite now (viz.. approx 40 mb space is free) and 35 MB of card space is in use (viz.. approx 85 MB space is free)....still facing this problem..thiis thing really irritate me everytime cos i wont be able to make any changes in my phone (not even alarm and silent mode)...
Few days back i delete few message from my phone(arond 300 msgs and rite now i have arond 1600 msgs left) and at that time i was able make all the changes however faced the same problem on next day again..please tell me wat to do in this case..???

And i want to ask 1 more thing, if we format our phone then will it restart , i am asking about operating system(LINUX). i m concerned becoz i dont want to spend money on my phone if it will not restart after formatting.

1 more thing, any1 of you DC guyz know the SETTINGS FOR GPRS for this phone, my GPRS is activated on my phone from MTNL side and wenevr i connected to internet it will show the bytes transfer but not display ne page...i tried tio contact my service provider(MTNL- TRUMP....plz dont laugh ) regarding setting but no respone from thier side...i tried more than 50 times in a day to contact Cust Care(these ppl are so lazy and saale kaam chor ..evrytime wen i call them reg settings they tell me that their server is down , useless ppl...and few days back 1 person frm Cust Care told me that they dont hav seetings for my phone in their data base so he wont be able to send me the settins...i told that guy its been showing the G sign of GPRS already..useless ppl)but of no use.

Need help on above mentioned topics please help ..really neeed resolution for these things...thanx

hmmm memory full here relates to RAM in your phone not its secondary memory....
i also expd same memory full prob in my nokia 3230....
if you are able to see what software are running in your mobile then kill those not in need....or look for a software for the same etc....

and about the gprs setting, if you have saved the setting from the operator and still not working then you have to call them ask the settings and change it manually...
other reason is that they don't have any knowledge and they might have sent u the wrong settings...

i have cheked in Tash Manager of my phone... there is nuthing...applications are not running in the background..much appriciate for this...wat to do now...???
And wat kinda software are ya talking abt...??

have you checked for any viruses....?
software which checks what appz are being run.....it show all those which aren't by task manager...if you can find the software it's great otherwise my last suggestion to you is FORMAT....
