Rule: 4GB Upload or 48 Hours Wait Time
This is to inform all the member of Dctorrent that we have implemented a new rule
which states that all the users who have less than 4 Gb of upload credited to their account will not able to download any torrent from below mentioned sections till 48 hours of their release on dc. 1. Movie Torrents 2. Desi Tv Torrents 3. Stage Shows 4. Misc Torrents However Music Torrents are ratio free so this rule doesnot apply on music Section. So for all the new members who have less than 4GB upload start downloading music torrents and seed them as much as u can so that you cross 4gb upload barrier and then u can download from any section freely. |

dear mod, the rule is gud enough and nice to force the leechers to seed... but accordin to me it wud also have a -ve effect on the dc bcoz if we force the new members to dwnld just music torrents till they reach the 4 gb goal, i think many wud lose interest..
instead if its possible, wud it be great to keep a time barrier also... like if u r 2 mnths old on dc & don't have 4gb upload then u'll be restricted by the above rule... if this is done newbies can also dwnld and then seed to dwnld more...  its just my way of thinking..& a suggestion.. thanks... |

hmmm....that's a good rule ...... i have found many old members who didn't upload 1 GB yet but joined in year 2005/2006........also many users have several accounts ...... so this rule is effective 1 for all of them.......good decision

ur just scarinn new members away by such rules.
give dem sum time to get used to d site.1 month they hv to keep ratio more than 0.75 less than that wait time.coz ppl in india hv ridiculous speeds of 64k ie only 5-8k download/ipload for such people to reach 4GB is a herculean task.all ppl who say so hv speeds in MBs. |

I guess no rule would meet all requirements, so let this be. Uploading 4GB these days is not such a big issue, not for heavy downloaders anyway..
