Wait Time? Acess Denied Error ? Read This

Dear users,

We are getting the Ratio System back in place by Mid-October, this is gonna be placed to keep the leechers away :icon_smil . So all the leecher see this as a warning and get ur ratio's up or wil have to face serious wait times.

Here are the new ratio's, So start seeding now before it gets too late.

New rule as of Dec 16th 2007-- You need 4GB upload minimum, to avoid 48 hours wait time on all new torrents.

Ratio < 0.5 ------ Wait time 48 hours
Ratio 0.5 -------- 0.6 Wait time 12 Hours
Ratio 0.6 -------- 0.75 Wait time 6 Hours
Ratio > 0.75 ---- No wait time

What is Ratio?
Ratio is the file size u download from this site compared to the size of that file or any other file that u upload here on the site.
For e.g. u downloaded a movie whose size is 1gb. U should upload 1gb to get a ratio of 1:1 which means download=upload.
the less u upload ,ur ratio will get lower and lower and then u´ll have to face wait times.
Hope all the users take it as a positive step towards making DC a better place.

This might be a problem to some for no fault of theirs. I am a regular up loader i.e for other sites also and my computer is on 24 X 7 .I downloaded Andaaz apna apna now there are no downloaders for it at all for past 1 week. By default i fall in leecher category .Have you guys thought about this ?

try pickin up the the newer/common ratio free torrents as the ones in the music section (yes all torrents there even mvids are ratio free) ... or u can jump on the high demand new tv (drama)/sports/documentary torrents where new rules are set as DL/UL ratio to count as 0.5:1 ... that means if u DL 100mb and upload 100mb... only 50mb will count towards ur DL, therefore in essence for that torrent ur ratio will be 2... these along with the ever present donate option - http://www.dctorrent.com/donate.php ... are the best ways to boost urself up and enjoy the site

My ratio is 1.33 but the tracker still giving wait time failure message. what is the problem?????

Read the post... you have less than 4Gb of upload.. till u reach that limit you will get wait time

Its really strict rule for new users because I just joined here and I just downloaded one

movie here and now I get failure access while downloading star plus serials so I am

trying to seed the movie I downloaded but most of the times it doesn't even seed it stays

still and shows the red arrow but my other torrents from other desi sites seeds in good

speed but the problem is only with this site so I can't keep my PC on for 24/7 because I

already got my computer crashed because of this seeding crap and as far as ratio free

music torrents concern so who wants to download music here everyone is mostly

looking for movies & dramas. Now what should I do I cant download anything neither its being seeded it just stays still

What is wrong with downloading music and seed it till you have 4Gb of upload and good ratio ????? thats why we have ratio free torrents..

This rule is good to get members into habbit of seediing or else many ppl download big stuff early and get banned... DcT has tons of members (35k+), so we need rules to get things going n under control...

If you really want to get rid of wait time.. you can easily donate small amount and add atleast 10Gb to ur upload..

Hey i am having the same prob also like i tried downloading a few things but the waiting

time is so long that i eventually cancel the downloading bc i have no percentage

download. My ratio is 0.07 and i really dont know how to improve it bc of this prob. I

usually let the things i downloaded seed but i really cant do anything in this case... can

someone pleez help me

you statrted off by downloading a movie. You should have started by downloading music torrents. the movie ur trying to see has very few leechers so u wont be able to seed much. I suggest you to download some music torrents and build ur ratio.
OR you can donate too

here is the wait time:

don't know what the hell is going on. yesterday i denoted $10, and today my account been activated. So today I tried to downlaod a movied Shurya... , but fails. My torrent client's tracker status is "Failure: access denied, wait time in effect". Can someone please help how to download, since it is my very first download, and I have made donation, also I got to know that i will get 20gb free download, so that my ratio wont get affact.
Please help.
