You posted this in the right section
The max you can do is seed the 99% of the files you have.. Also when you download a torrent from now onwards store them in 1 place.. Dont change directories.. Also when downloading the torrent ealier you might have choosen not to/skipped a file.. x|D |

Thankx for help...I will really look forward to it in future..
I have another prob/query tht is it possible to bypass the network server for higher bandwidth..Like i'm using a computer which is conected via Cable net/Lan and my server adm has restricted the download speed at 10kbps and u/l at 5kbps(bt at rapid share i uploaded at 228kbps) is there any way/possible to Have higher speed... |

one way to reduce that problem is to set this variable in advanced section of utorrent properties.. ie bt.prio_first_last_piece = true this will download first and last piece of file first .. so chances of hash fail for them are less.. regarding bypassing network admin setting.,., i dont think that is possible . |

Lol no.. Unless you get details of the Administrator A\C.. As you suggested the Administrator has capped your speeds.. If thats the case you cant possibly get 228kbps on rapidshare.. The truth is you are allowed more speed but the things you use daily like torrents or download from other sites you cant use the potential of your connection.. This is due to latency to distance ratios.. The futher you are from the servers the lesser speed you get.. And torrents aren't reliable for determining speed..
Why do you get such blazing speeds on Rapishare then?? This is because they have so many Super-fast servers.. Rapidshare is another world.. If I run speedtest I get 16mb d\l while on rapidshare I get the full 24mb d\l as per my contract with my Isp.. So basically forget about rapidshare.. The speeds you get on it you wont get anywhere else.. Being on wifi.. Downloading from rapidshare is the only thing to date that breaks my connection.. If you want to uncap the bandwidth allocated to you by the server administrator you simply need the details of the Administrator.. You can only do it that way.. On the other hand you can get better speed results by tweaking you connection for optimum performance.. In this case Tuneup Utilities 2008 is the best program.. Also in the connection properties of your connection disable 'QOS Packet Scheduler'.. Hope you get the idea.. x|D |
