Newbie Question: Uploading a Torrent [Answered]

Hello Help Desk.

I'd like to improve my seed ratio before downloading the next torrent. I've looked around the site for instructions on how to upload a torrent (e.g., searching the phrase "upload a torrent", which returned over 900 results).

I'm sure this question has been addressed before but I've not been able to find the post, so I apologise in advance for starting a new thread.

Having downloaded "Omkara", I've left it for uploading/seeding since completion but I see that no one else is downloading. I'm happy to leave the torrent for seeding for a while.

==> What's your expectation or the general etiquette of how long a torrent should be available for seeding (beyond the 48-hour minimum you outline in the rules)?

Read guides section, you will find answeres to most of your queries.

It will be good if you keep on seeding torrent released by you for long but it should be seeded till atleast few members have completed. As they can help you in seeding etc.

Am trying to create a new thread and have the following error:

I can't see posting restrictions on my account. Perhaps my current seed ratio is too low, is it? Anything I should do so that I can upload?
