Indian PM Dr.Manmohan Singh , Natwar Singh and Rahul Gandhi's recent vist to Afghanistan was one of the historic vist after along time , during that visit they have visited to Babur's Grave . Needless to say Babur is an Invader , not a Indian King. Indian Media and Indians( say Hindus) might have forgotten to recollect history , there is another grave in afghanistan ,grave of legendary Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan , a hero in India ,lying in a dilapidated condition in the outskirts of Ghazni . They didn't visit the grave and pay homage to the Hindu King , instead they are pleasing Muslim community by showing their secular credentials at the cost of the pride of Hindu community . This passive callousness shown by these leaders has brought utter disgrace to India , these leaders should be questioned by public and parliamentarians in the parliament .

Is there any more proof to Indian public , particularly Hindus ,that Congress party under the grab of secularism is insulting hindus . It is time for Hindus to start a movement to bring back the remains of Prithviraj Chouhan to Ajmir from Afghanistan . Sometime back Rajput leader , Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh was on forefront in this campaign . Now it is almost unheard about this , last year RSS demanded this , now thanks to the visit of Congress leaders to Afghanistan , which brought back the memories of past .

India is spending millions of dollars for rebuilding Afghanistan , in return the Afghanistan has to respect Indian sentiments and allow remains of Prithviraj to be expatriated to India , as a sign of goodwill gesture. India has to conduct this litmus test by formally requesting Government of Afghanistan to give back the remains . One possibility is outcry and protest from Pakistan , inciting the Islamic zealots in Afghanistan to oppose demands of kafir hindus .

If Congress desired to be neutral , they should have either visited both graves or none . This humiliation brought by these cerebral-less leaders of Congress is incomprehensible to Hindus and India in general , and we should not forgot this . Now it is time for Hindus to start questioning these leaders and kick start the campaign to bring back the remains of great revered Hindu King .

His ‘grave’ in Afghanistan is visited by the locals even today to vent their anger for killing Muhammed Ghori, 900 years ago says a new book.

The book “Arms and Armour: Traditional Weapons of India” by E Jaiwant Paul says on the outskirts of Ghazni are two domed tombs. The larger was of Ghori and few meters away was a second smaller tomb of Prithviraj Chauhan. “In the centre of the second tomb was a bare patch of earth where the actual grave should have been. Hanging over this spot from the top of the dome is a long, thick rope ending in a knot at shoulder height. Local visitors would grab hold of this knot in one hand and stamp vigorously and repeatedly with one foot on the bare patch in the centre of the tomb,” says Paul, a weapons collector.

Paul, who saw this on his visit to Afghanistan says on seeking an explanation, he found that the Afghans still stamped on his grave because Prithviraj killed Ghori, 900 years ago.

Is it the reason for not visiting Prithiviraj Chouhan’s grave , may be they are feared that they will be compelled to stamp the grave by the Afghans, as per their tradition . We need an explanation from these leaders , our Hindu tax-payer money is spent on rebuilding Afghanistan and we have moral right to question them as honorable citizens .


Bollowood uses Prithiviraj and Sanyogita in songs to spice up and romanticize their songs , do Indians know what is happening in Afghanistan to his grave or they are living in Bollywood dream world ? Someone rightly said that , for an Indian " a movie a day make a day" , may be this is true . Imagine what would be the reaction of muslims , if Hindus start stamping the graves of Muslim rulers which still exists in India and glitter ?

If Government of Afghanistan has any moral sense of respect towards India and Hindus in particular , they should either return the remains or they should put an end to the desecration of Pridhviraj Chouhan grave by the locals .

NEW DELHI, APRIL 25: Phoolan Devi murder case prime accused Sher Singh Rana, who was arrested by the Delhi police from Kolkata today, has come up with a bizarre story on his whereabouts after his escape from Tihar jail two years ago. He has told his interrogators he had gone to Afghanistan to “redeem India’s honour” and had brought back “ashes of Prithviraj Chauhan”.

While history records the 12th century Delhi ruler’s defeat in the Second Battle of Tarain in 1192 by Muhammad of Ghori, the story goes that Chauhan was taken away to Afghanistan where he died. And it is this, Rana claims, he set out to “correct” when he fled Tihar jail.
Rana told his interrogators he posed as a Pakistani in Afghanistan and visited Kandahar, Herat before making it to Ghazni. “He says his only other ambition, besides killing Phoolan Devi, was to get back Prithiviraj Chauhan’s ashes to India,” said a top Delhi police official.
He has told police he obtained a visa for Afghanistan from Bangladesh on the basis of a fake passport he got made in Ranchi. He claims he landed in Kabul in January last year.
Rana claims he located the grave in a village named Devak in Ghazni district. “He says he was taken hostage by the villagers but during his stay there, sometime in March 2005, he dug 12 feet into the grave believed to be of Chauhan’s and got the ashes. He then fled from the village,” said an official.
Delhi Police Commissioner K K Paul said Rana claims he reached Dhaka and sent the “ashes” by courier to his contact in UP. “We believe even a samadhi has been made with the ashes somewhere in eastern UP,” said another official.

I hope this news is true...But I dont think Sher Singh was able to bring Prithvi's ashes bck!! I wouldnt believe it until the Indian government confirms it

Madam, If you are near a library, get 'India: A History' by John Keay. If I remember correctly, it says that he was killed by tribals of Sind in a night raid.

m sure of wat i said !! dunno abt that book,but acc to chand bardai's [hope you know who he is]version..Prithvi killed Ghori even after getting blinded !! 100% sure..so, you please check your source..

there have been many books written on Prithvi, and all of them state that prithvi had killed ghori..!!

The Blinding of Prithviraj
The story of Prithiviraj does not end here. As a prisoner in Ghor he was presented before Mahmud, where he looked Ghori straight into the eye.

Ghori ordered him to lower his eyes, whereupon a defiant Prithiviraj scornfully told him how he had treated Ghori as a prisoner and said that the eyelids of a Rajputs eyes are lowered only in death.


On hearing this, Ghori flew into a rage and ordered that Prithviraj's eyes be burnt with red hot iron rods.

This heinous deed being done, Prithiviraj was regularly brought to the court to be taunted by Ghori and his courtiers. In those days Prithiviraj was joined by his former biographer Chand Bardai, who had composed a ballad-biography on Pritiviraj in the name of Prithviraj Raso (Songs of Prithviraj). Chand Bardai told Prithiviraj, that he should avenge Ghori's betrayal and daily insults.


The Blind Prithviraj Avenges the Injustice done to him
The two got an opportunity when Ghori announced a game of Archery. On the advice of Chand Bardai, Prithviraj, who was then at court said he would also like to participate. On hearing his suggestion, the courtiers guffawed at him and he was taunted by Ghori as to how he could participate when he could not see. Whereupon, Prithiviraj told Mahmud Ghori to order him to shoot, and he would reach his target.
Ghori became suspicious and asked Prithviraj why he wanted Ghori himself to order and not anyone else. On behlaf of Prithiviraj, Chand Bardai told Ghori that he as a king would not accept orders from anyone other than a king. His ego satisfied, Mahmud Ghori agreed.

On the said day, Ghori sitting in his royal enclosure had Prithiviraj brought to the ground and had him unchained for the event. On Ghori's ordering Prithviraj to shoot, we are told Prithiviraj turned in the direction from where he heard Ghori speak and struck Ghori dead with his arrow. This event is described by Chand Bardai in the couplet, "Dus kadam aggey, bees kadam daey, baitha hai Sultan. Ab mat chuko Chouhan, chala do apna baan." (Ten feet ahead of you and twenty feet to your right, is seated the Sultan, do not now miss him Chouhan, release your baan - arrow).


Thus ended the story of the brave but unrealistic Prithviraj Chouhan - the last Hindu ruler of Delhi. Delhi was to remain under Muslim rule for the next 700 years till 1857 and under British rule till 1947. Those few Hindus who came close to liberating Delhi during the seven centuries of Muslim rule were Rana Sanga in 1527, Raja (Hemu) Vikramaditya in around 1565 (2nd battle of Panipat), and Shrimant Vishwas Rao who was the Peshwa's son and was co-commander of the Maratha forces in the 3rd battle of Panipat in 1761. Metaphorically speaking, the next Hindu ruler to actually preside over Delhi was to be Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of Independent India (and Jawarharlal Nehru - who was the President's first Minister).

Sir, I am aware of the version of his death. Even saw it on that TV serial. But from what read he was killed by tribals of Sind in a night raid. I will get this James Tod book and see what it says. Till then, peace.
