Babu Maan's debut album features tracks written and produced for the UK bhangra and Indian markets. From a bhangra fans point of view, it is very satisfactory; it adopts various bhangra styles, which are a joy to listen to, and is not a typical Punjabi album from India. The majority of the 8 songs are very good, it starts off with the mellow and smooth title track, picks up pace with the catchy Indo-Pop "Miss India", sings along to the mid-paced "Sun Jaaniya", laughs at the English lyrics which spoil a fine sharabee "Tupka – Tupka", enters folkal territory with "Pind Pehra Lagda", dances to the fast and furious dhol beats in the brilliant "Sahmne Chubare Wali", keeps up the pace with "Kudian Kudian" and ends with the brilliant "Rumaal De Gaya".
The music by Surinder Bachan is very good. Maan's vocals are very impressive, he has the ability to sing in various styles, and is not only a good singer but also an excellent lyricist.
