HI guys.. so i neeed urgent help
i bought ma new laptop n prb was vista was a bit slow with 512 dd ram.. so i degraded it to windows Xp i got all the drivers needed and they are working fine except the sound card.. i ve tried a lot of times... even windows xp is genuin n not pirated.
nybdy with ny help abt this.. plz i ill wait 4 yr reply.. esp smart descent...
p.s if u need ny other info do tellme..

try following few things :-

1. Go to acer web site... download machine specific drivers from their website... ie closest to ur model number...

2. under device manager (my computer -> hardware) ... get the model number and make of ur sound card and download the driver for the sound card... or Rt click on sound card and select upgrade driver... it might download new driver and make it work..

3. easiest might be just doing windows upgrade i.e. google .. windows upgrade.. it might
download new drivers (chances are pretty low).

seems like the acer model doesn't support drivers for winXP.
do what RdA has said you, and let us know.

locate sound card driver at their site.. ie get the name / make / model of soundcard.. search its drivers and download / install it ....

best is to download drivers from the official soundcard web site..

if it is embedded card.. u need to download drivers from motherboard site..

in that file u will get realtek audiodriver v 5.10.0.5073 for xp
