Can anyone explain how could i have got following speeds




THE MAXIMUM SPEEDS SIFY PROVIDES IS 256kbps thats kilobits and not kilobytes

you should be happy you get such a high speed

yup if happend sometimes,
u tested 2nd one just after two mintz, if u cud have waited for ten mintz and tried it would be the first screenshot again,
the system here is tht a dummy file i being downloaded onto ur pc then uploaded the same file from the pc, once the thing is done ur speed is calculated, and if u quicly check ur speed again, it will download tht file much quicker than before hence making ur speed false, actully here ur speed has really risen but its like this for
eg. a maths sum if u do for first time it might take a 3 mintz and just after doing tht sum u do tht same sum again it might take only a mint, but after few days u do it again it might take again 2 mintz. now do u get it?

Actually what i was doing was that i changed my ip address provided by sify to the ip address they had provided to zenith 10.13.154.241

I had been changing my ip's randomly for over a week and enjoyed speeds of 256 kbps (sify's maximum) wereas i had subscribed to 128kbps package.

for a week nothing untoward happened untill I changed my ip to zenith's ip....I got excellent speeds for a night, and today the sify lineman came and reverted my ip back with a warning.

My luck ran out

that's why i posted the attached screen shots showing downloading speeds of around 1450kbps it was not temporary it lasted one whole night

i tried changing my IP here but no luck coz now we have static and dynamic IPs now, last year my IP on pc was my static ip, and the thing abt wht i said, i had cheated a torrent site where they asked my speed so tht i can get a high status membership, so when i tested i found out this trick.

Dude are not out of luck, u were lucky else u wud have to pay, fines or may be some resrtictions.
