The properietory search of DCT does not give accurate results. . . .
example: I search " Blue Umbrella " on dct dvdrip forum and i don't get a single result matching my query on the first page. ![]() The Better Way. . . . But using my HTML code to search DCT I get what I want. ![]() The Code. . . . <html><head><title>Google search for DCT</title><body background="http://www.saurabhpatel.we.bs/back-1.jpg"> <!search box><form method="get" action="http://www.google.com/search"> <div style="border:1px solid black;padding:4px;width:20em;"><table border="0" cellpadding="0"><tr><td> <input type="text" name="q" size="25" maxlength="255" value="" /> <input type="submit" value="Google Search" /></td></tr> <tr><td align="center" style="font-size:75%"> <input type="checkbox" name="sitesearch" value="www.dctorrent.com" checked /> Search DCT Only<br /> </td></tr></table> </div><a href="http://www.saurabhpatel.co.cc"><img src="http://www.saurabhpatel.we.bs/homesaurabh.jpg"></a> </form> <!Search box ends> </body></html> Copy and paste it in Notepad.exe and save the file as "search.html" Remove the Italicised portion of the code to remove the link back to my site CLICK HERE TO ADD ME REPS |

good ...
But if you are like me... then you will think 10 times before using some script written by someone else.. so other suggestion :- If you use google toolbar in IE or firefox... just go to advanced options to add 'search site'... once you in dct ... just put 'blue umbrella' and hit search site ... bingo u got results.. OR use site tag while doing search in google ,., ie just type following in google (or its toolbar)... good ... Its not a script that takes control of your browser
its plain HTML any blogger can take a look and know that nothing wrong there. I can explain the function of each tag used if anyone is willing |

^^ i totally agree with you ...
my point is .,., why to use some script as that is embedded in your browser and/or google? if there is something already provided to us .. why reinvent wheel or do things in difficult way... ie if something can be done by writing one line and using site tag provided by html coding .. why to write / use a script for it ... appreciate your efforts ,. and hope it helps someone... as for long time i have been searching DcT using this tag site:www.dctorrent.com "blue umbrella"And if someone wants to search othersite .. just need to change the tag .. |
