Cant open hidden files !! [Closed]

hey guys ....i dont know wats da prob with my computer....when ever i go to folder options and click show hidden files .......and then press appy....there is no effect....then when i again i do da same thin...but stilll i cant open my hidden file.ss...i scaned 4 virus...and totally..cleaned my comp but still dis prob...is der...and even restarted it...
do anyone hav or exprienced such prob....plzz helppp mme.....

You need to have hidden files in order to see the hidden files...and they are shown in a transparent way.

Its not that you can't open your hidden files, you cant see them... lol

Maybe in the folder that you were looking in did not have any hidden files.

To check, on your desktop, create a folder and put nothing in it. Then right click, properties and make it hidden and make sure that your File Properties are hiding the hidden files.

Then try to enable, "Show hidden files" and see if you see it. If you dont, write back and i might have some info for you.

i hav lots of hidden files....but now i m not able to open them,,,,,,when ever i press show hidden files it agian come bak to donnot show hidden files....

do u have winRAR?
then open winRAR and explore tht folder from it, if there were any hidden files/folders u will see it from winRAR else there r no hidden files/folders.

thanx...cooldubai....i m able to open them now....but only through winrar....wat abt,,,,windows explorer....??

steps U have to follow :
1. START
2. RUN
3. REGEDIT
4. In registry editor press ctrl+F.
5. In FIND dialog box type "hidden" also check all the fields appear in FIND dialog box
6. press Enter key.
7. In right side U will find three colums named NAME , TYPE, DATA.
8. Double click on "hidden" & put value data =1 in Hexadecimal.
9. Go at the place where Ur files are hidden & refresh PC 2-3 times.
10.You are done .....

why are u replying to post which is approx 2yrs old ?

if u really want to help.,. ,look for new / unanswered / unsolved posts in help desk and answer there....
