Default Re: What to do about throttling by an ISP?

Hey gary4gar

Have considered how Many connections you connecting to?
ie: ISP download is good because you are only connecting to 1 BIG PIPE.

Bit is not good, because you are connecting to many small Pipes.
ok...

Now ask yourself.....How Many Pipes, can you computer connect to at once?
I bet 10.

Look up Half open TCPIP Connections and edit you TCPIP.sys
and try this: http://www.dctorrent.com/f101/increa...d-maxed-81274/

Take Care

Opps....before writing the above...I did not notice you stated Ubunto...
Ok, so how many connections does ubunto allow?
I am at a lose at the moment, if this does give you a new avenue to explore, please let me know.
